چکیده

To construct three dimensional models from range data, the simultaneous registration of multiple views must be accomplished. There exists a natural hierarchy between the local problem of aligning two views and the global problem of maintaining a consistent network of relative orientation and positions between views. Our paper addresses the global problem, where we compute orientation and position estimates from noisy interframe measurements. This is accomplished by building a graph of interframe relations, selecting a set of basis cycles which fully describe the graph, and distributing accumulated error about the basis cycles.

Multiview diffeomorphic registration: Application to motion and strain estimation from 3D echocardiography

This paper presents a new registration framework for quantifying myocardial motion and strain from the combination of multiple 3D ultrasound (US) sequences. The originality of our approach lies in the estimation of the transformation directly from the input multiple views rather than from a single view or a reconstructed compounded sequence. This allows us to exploit all spatiotemporal informat...

A Globally Consistent Solution to Multiview Image Registration

Multiview image registration is to compute the globally consistent transformations of a sequence of images. Due to various uncertainties, multiview image registration is considered as stochastic estimation problem. In order to improve global consistency of registration, the states of all viewpoints are estimated in a common state vector and covariance matrix. The system state consists of the po...

VLSI Design for a Memory Efficient Motion and Disparity Estimation of the Multiview Video Coding

This paper presents a high throughput and low off-chip memory bandwidth Motion and Disparity Estimation architecture targeting the Multiview Video Coding requirements. The ME and DE modules are the critical paths in the multiview encoding process, corresponding to up to 80% of the encoding time. Besides, these two modules are responsible for more than 70% of the off-chip memory accesses. The go...

Low Bandwidth Hybrid Color Compensation for Multiview View Synthesis

Multiview video applications are getting emerging in the recent years by its 3D and free-view-point perception functionalities. To support smooth viewpoint switching, virtual view synthesis is required. However, the color information between each view is different due to the difference between multiview cameras. Further, the complexity and the corresponding bandwidth grow up dramatically with n...
